Synopsis
The ability to perceive the world and people comes from the light reflected in us and within us. Revelation, knowledge, and above all, self-knowledge. The perception one has of oneself through the light that is in the other. This is the focus of this choreographic work. To determine one's own understanding of one's forms, tastes, and behaviors through the observation of others. The light and knowledge of our peers explain us and bring us greater discernment about ourselves. Using contemporary language and exploring scenic resources with the bodies of the performers, their relationships with themselves, with space, and with each other, "The Light Within You" establishes a unique dialogue and aesthetic proposal, suggesting reflections on self-knowledge, as well as the posture and evolution of contemporary man. The soundtrack is by Johann Sebastian Bach.

Roberto Amorim

Dancer, director and choreographer. Founder of Sopro Cia. de Dança with Tatiana Portella, creator of the methodology of the contemporary dance technique "JORAM". He began his studies at Escola Municipal de Bailados (EDASP), SP. His diploma was recognized by the MEC. He danced with the Hamburg Ballet in Germany, with the Ballet Stagium as a dancer and maitre d' of contemporary dance for 8 years, and with the Ballet of the City of São Paulo for 5 years. He teaches contemporary dance for Sopro Cia de Dança and Cisne Negro Cia de Dança, and teaches workshops and choreographs for companies and dance groups throughout Brazil.
