Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown on the comment form, as well as the visitor's IP address and browser data, to assist in spam detection.

Media

If you upload images to the site, avoid uploading those that contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download these images from the site and extract their location data from them.

Cookies

When you leave a comment on the site, you can save your name, e-mail address and website in cookies. This is for your comfort, so you don't have to fill in your details again when you make another comment.

If you have an account and access this site, a temporary cookie will be created to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. It does not contain any personal data and will be discarded when you close your browser.

When you log into your account on the site, we also create several cookies to save your account data and your screen display choices. If you select "Remember me", your access will be maintained for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or post an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie does not include any personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you have just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded media from other sites

Articles on this site may include embedded content such as videos, images, articles, etc. Embedded content from other sites behaves exactly the same as if the visitor were visiting the other site.

These sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional tracking from third parties, and monitor your interaction with this embedded content, including your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged into the site.

With whom we share your data

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the password reset e-mail.

How long we keep your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained. We do this so that we can automatically recognize and approve any subsequent comments instead of holding them back for moderation.

For users who register on our site (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time (only their username cannot be changed).

What are your rights over your data?

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we remove any personal data that we hold about you. This does not include any data that we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Comments from visitors can be flagged by an automatic spam detection service.
