Synopsis
My idea was to bring together two musical pieces by Stravinsky, both with the concept of fire: Firebird and Firework, into a single work: Revoada (Flight). “I tried to reinvent, to translate into dance, a chemical process that causes the work in black, symbolized by this same color, to transform into pure energy, fire, symbolized by the color red. And what better tribute to the Cisne Negro company, for its 30 years of existence, than to place the Swan – of – Fire on stage as the protagonist of Revoada? To wish it, in my own way, a continuation of life even fuller of success, energy and beauty. A Revoada for the Cisne Negro Dance Company!” (Gigi Caciuleanu)
