is that it was written by the French musician Darius Milhaudwho lived in Brazil in the 1910s.
Rare composers have so well known how to portray the grandiosity of our music. This curious title, both of the music and of the ballet, is inspired by a march
very popular carnavalesca at that time. The original version of "O Boi no Telhado" was premiered in Paris in 1920 and achieved resounding success.
