Synopsis
“Destiny,” a romantic saga of an immigrant seeking a new life, is presented in the poetic vision of the I-Ching. In “Destiny,” the choreographer seeks to reference, in the image of the Eastern immigrant, both the adverse environmental conditions and the meaning of “East” as “very far away.” To this end, images of the land, tradition, landscape, work, farewell, arrival, and longing are present.
