Synopsis

“When we talk about “Anéis” (Rings), it can evoke images, movements, the object itself, unity, connection, childhood games—in short, all of this combined with Adriana Calcanhotto's beautiful musical creation, which gives us a contemporary interpretation of the work.” (Dany Bittencourt).

Part of the symbolism associated with rings is present in the choreography and soundtrack, signed by Dany Bittencourt and Adriana Calcanhoto respectively. According to dance critic Célia Musilli, from Folha de Londrina, the show has a Brazilian and modern swing, a bossa nova rhythm, and is worked in a way that makes the dance transgress into the playful… ”Rings” is the game of childhood and also the wedding ring, it is the relationship of the sexes that captivates in a context of lightness of bodies that ”ring” in 20 powerful minutes of dance/delicacy.
