Humberto Silva

Dancer, classical dance teacher, and choreographer. He began his studies at the Classical Dance School of the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro, now the Maria Olenewa State Dance School. In 1968, he joined the Ballet of the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro. In 1970, he moved to Curitiba and began working as a dancer with the Guaíra Theater Ballet. In 1972, in São Paulo, he joined the Stagium Ballet. Two years later, he joined the then Municipal Ballet Corps of São Paulo, now the São Paulo City Ballet, where he remained until 1981.
In 1981, she choreographed Cinderella Is Not That Anymore, a show by Grupo Andança, directed by José Possi Neto (1947), and Encosta Právêsidá, for Cisne Negro Companhia de Dança and Grupo Experimental de Dança (GED), directed by Penha de Souza (1935). This was followed by Poemas de um Dia (1987), Palavras ao Vento and Talvez Nasça Qualquer Dia, both productions from 1988, and Como se Fosse (1990).
