In each edition the Joinville Dance Festival rotates the artistic curatorship and a new dance professional takes over the responsibilities. In 2019, Ana Botafogo closes the three-year cycle and Dany Bittencourt takes on the challenge alongside Caio Nunes e Rui Moreira.
Dany is the artistic director and choreographer of Cisne Negro Dance Companyfrom São Paulo (SP). Graduated from Royal Academy of Dancingfrom London, was guest choreographer for National Ballet of Chile, City Ballet of Taubaté and operas Don Giovanni e La Traviata.
In 2016 and 2018, he choreographed for the Brazilian tour of Andrea Bocelli. Directs the ballet The Nutcrackerwhich this year is in its 36th edition.
Dany will be introduced on the night of champions and already starts working on formatting the 38th Joinville Dance Festival starting next week, at the end of this issue.
