Mário Nascimento
Before becoming a choreographer committed to reinventing the language of dance and discovering its possibilities, he traveled a long trajectory, which began in 1978, when he became interested in classical ballet, modern dance, and jazz. But he was determined to seek new directions for his restlessness as an artist, which led him to study and learn from some of the most renowned icons of dance, such as Toshie Kobayashi, Lenie Dale, Fred Benjamin, Redhá Bettenfour, Joyce Kermann, and Tony Abbot. Ten years later, she perfected her skills in the art of modern and contemporary dance in Europe. Back in Brazil, he glimpsed possibilities in martial arts and sought an understanding, appropriate to his perception as a choreographer, of techniques for composing musical rhythms, which defined and enriched his language. Since then, the group has been performing in numerous cities in Brazil, and has collected several awards. In 2013, it celebrates 15 years of activities, and presents, at Teatro Klauss Vianna, the show "Nômade". Or better: Detach. Leave. Change.
