Black King of Brazil Oba Sob\u00e1 Doutor Jos\u00e9 Mendes Ferreira Geleju Adelabu lll: his great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather Zumbi dos Palmares became the greatest symbol of freedom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jose Mendes Ferreira Geleju Adelabu III, King by dynasty, great-great-grandson of Zumbi dos Palmares, was born in a suburban district of the municipality of Uni\u00e3o dos Palmares, Alagoas State, known as Moqu\u00e9m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A poor boy, he left the Quilombo dos Palmares at the age of one, in a casu\u00e1 (basket) on the back of a donkey, pulled by his parents, wandering around in search of a job in the sugar mills in Alagoas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To improve his knowledge, accompanied by the cultural attach\u00e9 of the Nigerian Embassy, he moved to Africa for 8 years, where he was initiated into the cult of If\u00e1, babalaw\u00f4 (Priest), then Oluw\u00f4 (Bishop), Adbon\u00e3 (Cardinal), and finally Arab\u00e1 (Pope or High Priest).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
