Alteration aims to adjust presentations to the night lockdown schedules. The show had already been postponed in January and is inspired by the mamulengos of Pernambuco. Tickets are still on sale for both performances.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This morning, the J Safra Theater made changes to its schedule to adapt to the new rules of coronavirus containment. Thus, the performance on Saturday, March 13, had its time brought forward to 7pm. The performance on Sunday, March 14, remains unchanged. Tickets purchased with the previous schedule or purchased for the January performances will be valid for the current dates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets for sale are available in person and online, the latter simultaneous to the Saturday performance at 7pm. \"GOIT\u00c1\" has artistic direction by Hulda Bittencourt and Dany Bittencourt, scenic direction and dramaturgy by Beto Andreetta, from Pia Fraus, idealization and choreography by Ana Catarina Vieira, choreography assistance by Patr\u00edcia Alquezar, puppet creation by Dino Soto, soundtrack by Quinteto Violado, with special reference to Dudu Alves, musical edition by Cesar Maluf, costumes with creation and conception by Andr\u00e9 Santana and Elson Leite (Atelieles) and Balletto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Gl\u00f3ria do Goit\u00e1, a small town located 60 km away from Recife, is nowadays considered the Brazilian capital of Mamulengo and is our inspiration for this show that honors and reveres the universe of Pernambuco's Mamulengo\", says Hulda, founder of Cisne Negro Cia de Dan\u00e7a and also an inspiration for national dance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In all, the show takes 10 dancers on stage and the setting for the development is the municipal market, with props that refer to the sale of objects made of straw, kitchenware, gourds, dowels, and the rich diversity of handicrafts made by small farmers and local artisans. \"Goit\u00e1\" shows the simplicity, of a time without cell phones and internet, but that the region already felt the first effects of industrialization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Union of cultural giants - The show brings together on stage two stars of the national culture - Cisne Negro Cia de Dan\u00e7a with 43 years of existence and Companhia Pia Fraus with 35 years and for that, the choice of a show that reflects the richness of the popular culture of the north of the country. The union allows, in this unprecedented meeting, the construction and daring in integrating the languages of dance to popular puppet theater and to venture in the creation of an artistic language of its own, thus bringing a new proposal to the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets for in-person performances, already available on the J Safra Theater website, range from R$20 to R$50 (convenience fees not included).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
