Movement Research Workshop with Cisne Negro

In February 2023, Edith Buttingsrud Pedersen, a Danish dancer, choreographer and teacher living in Berlin, visited Cisne Negro Cia de Dança for a workshop published by Movement Research, one of the world's leading laboratories for research into dance and movement-based forms.

Cisne Negro is known for its innovation and originality in contemporary dance and Edith describes her new research project as; "my texture through a lens" a very personal research and an attempt to allow concrete reality and intimacy to enter my work. In this meeting the members of Cisne Negro shared their passion for dance and showed what they do best.

Movement Research in publishing can bring the energy and beauty of the company's performance to the public.

The visit was a success and a reminder that no matter where we are in the world, dance can connect and inspire us in surprising ways.
